Payday Loan Scams In Kentucky

It seems like no one is safe from the payday loan scams that have been going around.  The most recent notified scam was reported by a woman in Kentucky.  The scam artist called up an innocent woman claiming to be a lawyer calling on behalf of a payday loan agency demanding money for a payday loan.  He said that if she did not pay up, he would be forced to bring legal action against her and she would have to serve time in jail.  Luckily, Ruby Bush, did not fall for this scam as many people around the country do.  Instead of reaching for her checkbook she decided to do a little research instead.

This scam artist knew just about everything about her including her name, her date of birth, her social security number, her address and even where she worked.  He wanted 500 dollars for a loan that she had never taken out herself.  The threats sounded real but she was caught in a jam.  As she asked the caller for details he would not say anything and only reply back with threats which seemed pretty suspicious to Ruby. She did look up the company name, Morgan and Associates, where he claimed he was a lawyer for and when she looked up the company online it stated that it was a scam.

There have been many more cases like that of Ruby’s.  She wants to see him get prosecuted for this illegal payday loan scam as does the Kentucky’s Attorney General.  Always make sure you know the facts before handing over your money especially if you have never taken out a payday loan.
